“ This is right in the heart of Tempe Marketplace. Went there Friday night, no reservations, waited about 30 minutes for a table. It was packed. Our server, Timber, was outstanding- very friendly, attentive, and communicative. We started with the crab cakes and wedge salad. Both were delicious. I swapped the blue cheese dressing for their chipotle ranch, and it was very good. I actually ordered another wedge to go, it was that good. My friend got the chowder and said it was delicious. I ordered the Macadamia nut crusted Halibut, and chose Flash-Fried Cauliflower with tahini sauce, and Yukon mashed as my sides. Not a very colorful presentation and totally my fault. I was actually going to just order a few of their sides because they all sounded really good. This was not the best fish dish...was very greasy and the tahini sauce on the cauliflower was almost like a very thick yogurt. The mashed potatoes had a weird consistency. They were nice enough to take that dish off the bill as I hardly touched it. The fish & chips were perfectly cooked, nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The mac & cheese was perfectly cooked as well. I will definitely come back, and try some other things, because everything else was great. And I will definitely be back for that wedge salad. ”

“ I love seafood and King's Fish House is a great reminder why that is. They have an amazing menu with oysters on the half shell (for those willing to take risks with raw seafood like me!) to spiny lobsters (sadly took off king crab recently). I only had two dishes so will share my experience. First easy parking as it is located in a large mall type area of Tempe called The District. It is a nice restaurant, classy ambience. They have live tanks ALWAYS a great sign in a seafood restaurant. The one near me was loaded with dungeons crabs. There were two servers who took care of me as one was in training. Food? 1) Raw oysters half dozen kumamotos***** . OMG! totally awesome! served with everything you need. These oysters were so good. Fresh, large tasty. Worth taking the risk of getting a food borne illness! (my sister said she would not eat raw oysters after the recent norovirus outbreak in Los Angeles). 2) Bowl of King's Spicy Seafood Chowder****. Great tasting red Manhattan style broth. Plenty of fish but would have liked a little more crustacean in the mix. Overall great experience and food was excellent and I would definitely come back. ”

“ I was going to give it 3 stars, but I gave it 4 stars, because maybe I made the wrong choice on my entree. That being said we went here for my bday! Service was good, and the food was just ok. I got the swordfish, and it was just a little fishy. Which is weird because it's a pretty mild flavored fish. The baked potato and asparagus it came with were good. Oh, and the blacken shrimp taquitos were really good. I wish I liked this place more, because I love seafood and it's so hard to find it out here. One thing that I did not like... the bathrooms weren't that clean!! :-X ”

“ We come here when we're in the mood for an elevated seafood dining experience. The service here is consistently good, even when busy and the ambiance is relaxed. There is a New England coastal feel that takes you away from the Arizona desert. My favorite dish here is the cioppino, a tomato based fisherman's stew but then again, I love soup in general. Their lobster and fishes are always cooked just right, paired with some veggies and a baked potato. Highly recommend to my seafood loving friends! ”

“ I am sitting here now, inside this restaurant and it has a horrible fishy smell! Not the "normal" fish smell, this smell almost want to leave it's pretty bad. Hostess was petite and beautiful and very kind!! Was seated right away! Food came right away! Food is delicious! Food is pricey. Waitress was helpful & fabulous! Restaurant was nice size, plenty of seating! Besides the really off smell everything else was really AWESOME! ”

“ The night I went it was weirdly busy but the staff was still very attentive. The hostess said it's generally not very busy, and even on this busy night there was no wait to get a table. The inside is very large and clean, and the dress vibes are casual. It is located in Tempe Marketplace so it wasn't too difficult to find parking I got the BBQ shrimp, I tried it here years ago and it tastes exactly the same. I appreciate that kind of consistency. I recommend asking for extra fresh sourdough it's better for dipping into the sauce than the toasted sourdough that it comes with. I also got the seafood chowder which I did not like at all. It isn't cream based like I expected and it's very fishy. But I told them immediately and they took it back and took it off my bill, no problem. The Brussels sprouts were very nice and crispy and tart though. My friend got the salmon, our lovely waitress recommended getting it blackened which my friend really enjoyed. ”

“ Back at King's Fish House again! I visit every time I am in Phoenix. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. Today I had the shrimp Louie salad. It was large and the vegetables seemed right off the farm. The shrimp were big and juicy. The seafood stew was A+. Devon was a very attentive server. The bread was warm and very tasty. It had a delicious, flaky crust. King's is a must for my AZ visits. ”
